For the most part, I had always been about 50/50 when it came to eating healthy and splurging. But a few years ago, my mother passed away from complications with Type 2 diabetes and heart health issues. She was only 64. And at that point, I decided to make my ratio more like 95% healthy/5% splurge.  I still love my cheeseburgers and cupcakes once in awhile, but I enjoy these nutritionally balanced recipes just as much, and I hope you do too!

My Healthy, Sexy Recipes are clean eating and help maintain a 'DISH' figure.   Many of the recipes posted can be used if you're detoxing and there is also a wide variety of Vegan and Vegetarian options. These are my go-to's when I need to meet that 95/5 ratio.  They are nutritionally balanced for a '30+ something and still sexy' metabolism but still provide a great deal of satisfaction and taste.

My Romantic Dishes series gives great ideas for treating your significant other, or impressing a new suitor, with a gourmet meal made easy and catering to those who enjoy "man-food" as well as being inspired by famous dishes from around the globe.  Even if you can't travel or have a romantic getaway, these dinners are a delicious alternative.  I also include my Family Dishes centered around big family meals, like Sunday dinners, that are full course, for those who have ever wondered, "What would go well with this main dish?"

My other passion, Party and Event themes, features recipes that show how I have themed recipes (and decorations) to go with a particular event or party theme.  These are usually birthday parties for friends and family, but include major holidays and yearly celebrations as well.  This is that 5% splurge. ;-)
